     Bernice Martina Bauknight Jalloh, Esq. a Partner at Jalloh and Jalloh, LLC, is admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the New Jersey Bar. She received a Juris Doctor from Rutgers The State University of New Jersey, a Master degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University. She is currently the Somerset County Judge of the Surrogate Court and Deputy Clerk of the Superior Court Chancery Division Probate Part. 

 

Prior to pursuing a second career and opening up a law practice she worked as the Administrative Director of Laboratories at University of Medicine and Dentistry, University Hospital and United Hospitals Medical Center. She was also the Director of Training and Development at United Healthcare Systems, Inc. Once graduating from law school she and her son opened a law practice which concentrates on non-profit representation, contract negotiation & review, general civil litigation, personal injury, commercial & corporate transactions, immigration, consumer credit collection matters, landlord/tenant , real estate commercial/residential, municipal court, wills & estate planning, matrimonial/domestic relations/ family law, adoptions, name changes, criminal record expungements, education and special education law. She worked on a volunteer basis with Legal Services of New Jersey representing clients for free, especially in the Surrogate Court and Family Court. 

 

She is the previous Chairwoman of the Somerset County Democratic Committee Black Caucus, on the Board of Directors of Egenof Early Childhood Learning Center and on the Board of Directors of Civic Knights. Ms. Jalloh attended the Linden New Jersey Public schools. She is currently a member of the National Council of Negro Woman, the Association of Black Woman Lawyers, the New Jersey Muslim Lawyer’s Association, the New Jersey Muslim Voters Project – Somerset, NJ, on the Somerset County Complete Count Committee and the JFK Club of Franklin Township. Additionally, she is certified in Health Care Compliance.
