Founder and CEO of the Bauknight Law Firm, Clarence has 30+ years in the legal profession and service to the Union County Community. Beginning with a BA from Syracuse University and culminating with an MPA and JD, from Rutgers University, Clarence was professionally readied/trained to serve Union County. Clarence has served on the Urban League of Union County Board since 1977, the United Way of Greater Union County since 1985 , and the Egenolf Early Childhood Center since 1980. Clarence serves Union County as a Public defender in Plainfield and Rahway, and in Maryland.
Clarence is known as a tenacious fighter who protects his client’s interests as though they were his own. He has tried numerous cases and handled a large variety of civil matters from minor injuries to the catastrophic. He prides himself on preparing every case for trial with the assumption that his client’s case will be decided by a jury. He strongly believes he can and will make a difference in his client’s lives. A persuasive and successful trial lawyer, Clarence captures the respect of clients and jurors alike, and advocates zealously regardless of his client’s pocketbook.
His work experience also includes working in both the non-profit and corporate arena before becoming an attorney.
